WHAT IS NASI KAK WOK?
Nasi Kak Wok originated in Kelantan, a state up north on the east coast of Malaysia, created by a lady named Kak Wook in the 1980s. The meal comprises hot white rice, fried chicken chopped into small pieces, curry (locally known as "Gulai"), and sambal. These ingredients are mixed together and wrapped in paper, allowing the curry, sambal, and oily chicken to blend, creating a unique and flavorful taste. The dish is known for its spiciness, thanks to the sambal, and its affordability.Due to its popularity, Nasi Kak Wok has expanded beyond Kelantan. In Kuala Lumpur, it can be found in many locations.
